Renske as Photographer

Photographing people is what I like to do most. By doing this I can combine the things I love: people, being creative and discovering and observing the world around me. Photographing is about connecting. While shooting I therefore hold a great value into the interaction with the person in front of my camera. I wanna make people feel seen for who they are. I always try to create a relaxed and playful atmosphere, which in my eyes, always results in the best and most valuable pictures.

My goal is to create photographs that tell their own story, which are recognisable and touch something in you. The best compliment a customer can give me is that he or she recognises their own personality in my picture. For me, this is mainly due to the spontaneous, realistic and emotional moments that we all know. I focus on the personal bond between people and the love and joy that comes from that.

I found a strong connection to photography from a young age and my passion has only increased ever since. From analogue disposable cameras to Lomography, I’ve used them all. Sitting still is not in my nature, but with a camera in my hand I find the peace to see and capture the world around me into detail.

Besides taking photo’s, I love to explore, going on an adventure, on the ”bonnefooi”, roaming through the unknown, traveling! Things that luckely combine well with photography. In my portfolio among other things you will find work of my travels through Nepal, India and Indonesia. Traveling inspires me to look at the world differently, approach life with an open hart and mind and stimulates me to keep on challenging and developing myself. In both photography, as other parts of my life.
